Frequently asked questions

What preparations are required before installing an outdoor hot tub?

A flat, stable and rigid surface is required (a reinforced concrete slab is recommended) to support the total weight of the spa filled with water and users. You also need a nearby water source (hose connection for filling) and a dedicated electrical connection: a protected socket for Plug & Play models or a separate circuit with residual current protection directly from the distribution board for high-power models.

Can I use the outdoor hot tub during winter?

Yes, outdoor hot tubs are specifically designed for use in all 4 seasons. The high-density thermal insulation and automatic heating systems keep the water at a constant temperature (37–40°C) even in sub-zero temperatures. It is essential that the equipment remains connected to the mains supply and covered with the rigid thermally insulated cover when not in use.

How often is the water changed in an outdoor spa?

For standard chlorine/bromine or ozone-based filtration systems, the water is replaced every 3–4 months. On Caldera Spas® models equipped with the FreshWater® Salt automatic salt-based system, the water is continuously disinfected and maintains its quality for up to 12 months, significantly reducing water and chemical consumption.

How is electricity consumption affected in winter?

Consumption depends on the water volume, foam insulation quality, set temperature and frequency of use. Maintaining a constant temperature and permanently using the thermally insulated cover substantially reduce heat loss. From an energy perspective, it is more efficient to keep the water hot continuously than to reheat it from scratch before each use.

How are delivery and handling to the garden or terrace carried out?

Before delivery, the access route is checked (gate widths, steps, slopes and clearances). Handling into position is done with special transport equipment or, in the case of difficult access or suspended terraces, using a crane. Once placed in position, the technical team carries out the connections, filling, operational tests and user training.
